The September 30th release of the Part II interim final rule (IFR) of the No Surprises Act requires that health care providers, including FQHCs, provide “good faith estimate” to uninsured and self pay patients beginning 1/1/22. One of most recent compliance topics that we briefly covered related to the very new No Suprises Act relates to the health center operations and impacts the finance/operations side of the health center. You can find a copy of the presentation and recording on the community website. These compliance topics included Security Risk Assessments, EHR updates, No Surprises Act, and Information Blocking. While many of these items are related to other roles within the organization, our focus is on keeping the HIT staff informed and aware of areas they may need to configure their HIT applications to be compliant. The Qual IT Care Alliance HIT Committee met on Friday, December 10th. This month focused on compliance related topics for HIT. Below you will find a short description and list of meeting times for the CMO Roundtable/Provider Steering Committee and Clinical Quality Improvement Committee for the 2022 calendar year. Collaboration, trainings, and peer-sharing are all tools used during meetings to assist practices with various clinical quality improvement strategies.
